Science teachers of Years 9 to 12, this 2.5-hour professional learning session dives deep into making aspirin and empowers you to utilize KIOSC’s cutting-edge analytical tools (spot test, FT-IR, GC-MS, HPLC, melting point apparatus) to assess the aspirin’s purity. Learn the safe and engaging process of aspirin synthesis for your students, receive a practical classroom activity guide, and explore the option to book a KIOSC program (partner and non-partner bookings accepted for this program) where students can test the purity of their own synthesized aspirin. Give students a real opportunity to work in a state of the art Chemistry laboratory where they will use the analytical instruments for their learning.
