Questacon’s Starting in STEM is a hands-on 90-120 minute workshop that builds confidence in teaching STEM through empathy, design thinking, and real-world inquiry.
Educators explore key learner dispositions, unpack how students learn best and practise simple design-thinking routines. You’ll walk away with curriculum-aligned, practical, low-tech STEM activities ready for immediate use.
Questacon’s Starting in STEM is ideal for pre-service teachers, wanting STEM education to feel purposeful, relevant, and connected to community.
After your participation, you will be provided with a certificate of completion that can be contributed to your professional development hours. You will also receive an invitation into an exclusive online Questacon Educator Community platform where you can access other high quality, teacher driven resources as well as ask questions and engage with educators from around the nation.
